Carolina C. Torres
Carolina graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Vassar College. She went on to earn her law degree from New York Law School. Prior to attending law school, Carolina worked for three years as a paralegal at one of the nation’s largest plaintiffs’ securities litigation firms.
Upon graduation from law school, Carolina practiced law for five years at a plaintiffs’ securities litigation firm in New York City. As an attorney, Carolina represented investors in securities litigation, helping clients obtain multi-million dollar settlements in numerous cases, and in corporate takeover litigation, challenging unfair mergers and acquisitions in courts throughout the country.
Carolina was involved in all stages of complex class action litigation, including drafting complaints, legal memoranda, briefs and letters to opposing counsel; performing legal research; managing the identification, collection and review of discovery documents including electronic stored information (“ESI”); and preparing for and attending depositions and oral arguments.
In 2015, Carolina moved to Portland, Maine. Shortly after moving to Maine, Carolina began working with Fitzgerald Law Group.
In her role at the firm, Carolina serves as a research assistant and litigation consultant. She brings a tremendous amount of litigation experience and technological savviness to the firm.
